A day in the life of a Pacific Crest Trail thru-hiker.

In this three part series, I have been working with @timex to show you a day in the life of a Pacific Crest Trail Thru-hiker.

6 AM : After waking up at 5 to finish off the chores left over from the night before, you bust out the maps and plan your distance and destination for the day, trying to figure out the amount of food and water you will need to carry, always paying close attention to the amount of days it will be before the next resupply point.

Hiker hunger is a real thing, and nothing to underestimate. Some serious thought can go into this part of the day, and usually requires a joint effort in the making of the final decision. No matter what the decision becomes as a result, you always know no matter what an amazing time is in the making.
