This weekend marks one year since I started my thru-hike on The Pacific Crest Trail. To celebrate we headed six hours south of Chicago, and explored the caves and cliffs of Shawnee National Forest. Getting back to nature is always such a calming and clarifying experience for me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the weekend than exploring some new places. If you find yourself in southern Illinois, be sure to pay this place a visit. I have some really exciting things in the works, that should have me exploring all kinds of new places soon and I can’t wait to share the experience with you all! Thank you all so much for all the love and support, and here’s to so many more exciting things to come!
