Mile 1,269

Mile 1,269. After some wonderful time spent in South Lake Tahoe, I am now in a little town called Belden, in the valleys of the Northern California. The hiking the last couple of weeks has been surprisingly hard with lots if ups and downs, both literally and metaphorically. The land is not as grand as the high sierras were, but still so beautiful in its own unique way. I only have about 60 miles to go roughly before I hit the half way point. We have been trying to decide what kind of celebration we are going to have once we reach it. How would you celebrate walking 1,300 miles?!
