Reached the 100 mile mark!

By April 19, 2014April 22nd, 20142 Comments

I hit one of my first milestones on this hike yesterday and reached the 100 mile mark. After a quick celebration I pushed on and made it an additional ten miles to Warner Springs, where I am now laying in my tent resting my feet and waiting around until the post office opens at noon to pick up my first resupply box of food that I mailed to myself before I left Chicago.

It feels amazing to of made it this far and is a daunting thought that I have an additional 2,500 miles to go over the next 5 months, but I am told it only gets better from here. If that’s the case then I can’t wait to see what lies ahead, as everything I have encountered so far has been some of the most amazing views and experiences I have had in my life yet. Much more to come.
