Every time I travel back home for the holidays I make it a point to take the long way home. On this trip, we didn’t stray away from tradition, and drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway, and that means driving straight through the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina.

I have always loved these mountains, as I grew up on the east coast, so they hold a special place in my heart and soul. I plan to hike more through these mountains this year and am excited to explore more of the mysterious and moody Appalachian Mountains! #stayandwander
