“Chicago’s Finest”

A revisit of a shot I took a year ago, during a teacher protest in the downtown Chicago area. Been participating in the @natgeo “Your Shot” assignment. The assignment was to document change, I felt this shot represented that well.

Always an oddly exhilarating thing to witness Chicago’s police force slowly moving down the historic streets of the downtown Chicago area. Just for a second try to imagine all of the historic events that have taken place on these streets, and all of the men and woman who have fought to have their voices heard right here in this very spot. Whether you love or hate the Chicago police force, I was still impressed with their ability to control such a massive crowd of a truly distressed public.
