Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
One of the most unexpected and wonderful finds on this trip. Showed up right before sunset and was greeted with some of the coolest and deepest canyon walls I have ever seen.
The name comes from the fact that some parts of the canyon only receive around 30 minutes of sunlight a day. You can see “Painted Wall” straight across from me, a sight and place I will be visiting again soon for sure.
Pro tip* camp at the north rim, a delightful and secluded experience, camping right on the rim of the canyon itself. Cheers. 🤘🏻🍻
