Such a memorable experience running around the edge of a once active volcano crater, located right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, hundreds and hundreds of miles from the mainland of Portugal.
The fog rolled in low on this day, and it made for a really exciting and mysterious hike around the rim of the crater. We both agreed that we could of easily spent multiple days here exploring the history of the islands. #azoresgetaways #travelzoo
